Shape Deck
The Shape Deck consists of 64 cards, which are their own things but also share an (extremely loose) affinity with the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, which has inspired and informed me in hundreds of ways over the years. All these blue shapes can be understood as types of space, which I think of as a relationship between — between things, between people, between events; between you and your situation; between where you are and where you want to be. Some spaces feel calming, some welcoming, some confusing, some threatening. Some spaces illuminate; others just allow something to be.
Each card has many meanings. The most important meaning is the unique one it has for you in the context of whatever game or question you’re exploring. If you wish, you can also tap a card for a more formal prompt. Pay attention to what helps and ignore the rest.
